Love is the Solution! Definitions | ||||||||||||||

Love: (1) an attitude of loving acceptance, (2) a commitment to fairness, (3) dedication to doing one's best in every way. What does "love" mean? "Love" is a multifaceted word, difficult to define because it means many things to many people. We cannot say that love is only one thing, this thing or that thing. Despite the fact that even Freud could not define Love, we offer you our thoughts about what love means. Love can be defined as a warm attachment, enthusiasm or devotion; an unselfish, loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another. When viewed with the goal of world peace in mind, this definition fits very well. As does the explanation that love is compassion, kindness, caring, politeness, listening, positive offering, allowing, understanding, accepting, giving, and smiling. Love is the reason for creation. Love is one of the most pure and beautiful feelings/emotions/experiences of life; what you experience creates your definition of Love. When love is experienced, it is learned, it then can be expressed in our subsequent conduct in this world, thus becoming our own definition of Love. The
love that we are speaking of when we say, "Love is the Solution", is
strong, principled and fair. It always includes fairness, acceptance and doing
your best. We are talking about the kind of love that has one purpose - to lead
to peace in the world. Love is something that can make peace happen. To paraphrase
the famous words of John Lennon, written in the spirit of peace, "All we
are saying is give love a chance". If the foundation of all your actions
is Love, then you are at peace. If you act from a place of Love, then you are
making a contribution to peace in the world. This kind of love is something that
every person on the planet needs. Hate: a feeling of dislike so strong that it demands action; to dislike intensely; feel antipathy or aversion towards. Solution: a statement that solves a problem or explains how to solve the problem. Acceptance: The act or process of accepting. The state of being accepted or acceptable. Favorable reception; approval. Belief in something; agreement. Acceptance must be on an "as is" basis, including accepting what you must do. Fairness: marked by impartiality and honesty: free from self-interest, prejudice, or favoritism. When considering fairness, one must look at all sides of an issue. Regardless of whether a situation appears to be positive or negative, the question must always be asked, "is this fair to everyone involved?" Doing One's Best: We can ask nothing greater from ourselves than to react to every situation according to the best of our abilities. If everyone does their best there is no room for regret. In this way we do our best for world peace and for our individual happiness. Doing your best includes having a plan after careful consideration of all your options, so that the best option can be carried out.
